Jason and Greg discuss the leadership lessons from Steve Jobs based on the HBR article by Walter Isaacson. They focus on simplicity and creating margin in their lives. They also discuss that simplifying may be MORE work at first and that diving into a niche may also help us simplify. Greg’s advice: for each new project you take on, you should give up two. Also the people that make complex things simple will have a great advantage.

Phil Simon explains what a platform really is and how building a platform can be advantageous to growing your business. Jason, Greg, and Phil discuss the big four platforms: Apple, Facebook, Google, and Amazon. Also, as we build our platforms, how much do we need to plan ahead? What are planks? Also, how important is being FIRST with a new concept or idea while building your platform? What will it take for Twitter to become a platform?
